Albany Medical Center is the only academic
medical center in the 25 counties of eastern New York and
western New England. It combines the resources of 631-bed
Albany Medical Hospital, Albany Medical College, one of the
area's largest Primary Care Networks, and several satellite
offices around the area to provide the region's nearly 3
million residents with an extensive range of services from
preventative and primary care to highly specialized programs
for critically ill and injured patients. Albany Medical
Center provides tertiary care services
required by Institute patients who reside in the north region of
the Institute’s service area.
Ellenville Regional Hospital

The Veteran’s Memorial Hospital, a not for
profit community hospital, was established on May 30, 1923
with 12 beds. In 1924, construction took place increasing
the number of beds to 35. On March 20, 1966, Ellenville
Regional Hospital opened its doors with fifty-one beds.
Today, Ellenville Regional Hospital continues to keep its
commitment of being the center of health care by providing
the most comprehensive family centered program of primary
care for its local and surrounding communities. Situated
immediately adjacent to the Family Practice Center of
Ellenville, the hospital serves the Center's inpatient needs
in this rural community setting.
The Kingston Hospital

The Kingston Hospital is a not-for-profit
community hospital located in historic Kingston, New York.
In order to meet the health care needs of the growing
community the Kingston Hospital built its facility in 1894.
Today, the 140-bed facility continues to serve the ever
changing and developing Mid-Hudson community. A wide range
of total health care inpatient and outpatient services are
offered, including an extensive wellness program focusing on
preventive health care. The Kingston Hospital serves as an
inpatient site for the Resident Training Program with
emphasis on Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine and
Obstetric teaching services.
New
York College of Osteopathic Medicine

The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine
(NYCOM), established in 1977, is the osteopathic medical
college of The New York Institute of Technology. NYCOM is
fully accredited by the New York State Board of Regents and
the Bureau of Professional Education of the American
Osteopathic Association, which is the national accrediting
agency for colleges educating osteopathic medical student
physicians. NYCOM offers a four-year professional program
leading to the Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) Degree. The
faculty consists of approximately 900 physicians of varying
backgrounds and a student population of nearly 800. The
Institute has had an academic affiliation with NYCOM since
1984 and has provided the academic support necessary for the
Institutes' fully sponsored osteopathic Internship and
Residency Training Programs.
Westchester Medical Center

As an academic center and the region’s
tertiary and Level One Trauma Center, Westchester Medical
Center is on the leading edge of medical research and the
latest advances in clinical care, serving more than 3.5
million people in the seven-county Hudson Valley Region,
Bergen County, New Jersey and Fairfield County,
Connecticut. With more than 1,000 beds in four major
facilities, Westchester Medical Center’s extraordinary
specialty services have made it the referral hospital of
choice for physicians and patients seeking the highest level
and quality of care. The Children’s Hospital at Westchester
Medical Center is the only all-specialty Children’s
Hospital in the region, home to renowned pediatric
specialists, including pediatric neurosurgeons, pediatric
open heart surgeons and pediatric cardiologists, pediatric
oncologists and pediatric infectious disease specialists.
The Children’s Hospital is also home to the only regional
neonatal intensive care and pediatric infectious disease
specialists. Since 1995, Westchester Medical Center has
served as a training site for the Institute's residents in
pediatrics, including neonatology and
pediatric ICU teaching. Westchester Medical Center also
provides many collaborative clinical specialties affiliated
with the Institute such as pediatric and adult cardiology,
pediatric developmental disabilities, Lyme disease centers
and Level II sonography.
