Edward Fried has over thirty years experience in ambulatory care administration. Before joining the Institute in 1992, he was associate executive director at Jacobi Hospital Center.
 
Mr. Fried oversees the Institute's corporate management functions, including contracts and affiliations, facilities management, purchasing, legal affairs, and insurance liability programs. He provides support to the Board of Directors and is responsible for corporate compliance. Mr. Fried chairs the Environment of Care Committee. He also conducts feasibility reviews of new programs and major program expansions.

Mr. Fried earned an MA degree in organization development at San Francisco State University and a BA in speech communications.
