Yvonne Eisner, one of the Institute's founders, is a graduate of the Pace University Lienhard School of Nursing, where she formerly served on the clinical faculty. She also holds a BA degree in physiology from Cornell University.
As a clinical director, Ms. Eisner is responsible for providing leadership in the areas of clinical quality assurance, personnel development, equipment and supply acquisition, and facility development. Ms. Eisner has a professional interest in the development of the family physician/nurse practitioner team model at practice sites.
In 1996, Ms. Eisner was one of 10 advanced practice nurses nationally who received the first Pfizer/APNSCAN Award for Exceptional Contributions to Health Care. The award honors her achievements in bringing advanced practice nursing into the forefront of health care in many of New York City's most underserved communities.
